If you were hoping to check out Tricks and Treats at Michigan’s Adventure this fall, you’re out of luck; the park has canceled its fall season, including the Halloween event.
Two years after debuting Tricks and Treats Fall Fest in 2023, the west Michigan amusement park said in an email that it will not host the event in 2025. Michigan’s Adventure didn’t provide a reason for the cancellation in its notice to pass holders, stating the Muskegon park will close Sept. 1, 2025.
Michigan’s Adventure informed season pass holders of the move in a July 21 email obtained by the Detroit Free Press.
“After much research and planning, we’ve made the strategic decision to focus on delivering exceptional experiences during our core operating seasons, spring and summer,” the email read. “This means that Tricks & Treats will not return this fall. Our amusement and water parks will close for the season on Sept. 1, 2025.”
Six Flags-owned amusement parks in New Jersey and Georgia also canceled Christmas events called Holiday in the Park for 2025, which means those parks are closing earlier as well.
The Michigan’s Adventure amusement park said it will reopen in the spring of 2026.
