Michigan State baseball has had an up and down season, but one thing has stayed consistent, the performances given by their ace starting pitcher Joseph Dzierwa have been incredible. The Spartans south paw has been recognized once again for what he brings to the table.
In 2025, Dzierwa has made 12 starts, posting a 7-and-2 record with a 2.20 earned run average. He has totaled 86 strikeouts in 73.2 innings of work, while holding opponents to just a .197 batting average and posting a 0.99 WHIP.
With his standout numbers in 2025, Dzierwa was recognized by D1 Baseball as one of the sport’s top pitchers.
In a top-150 ranking by D1 Baseball, Dzierwa checked in as the No. 8 pitcher in college baseball, showing the proper recognition for the standout display he has had on the mound this season.
