The 1-seed Wolverines saw their season come to an end Monday, April 6, in the national championship game of the NCAA Tournament, defeating 2-seed UConn in Indianapolis for their first title since 1989.
Michigan has five players out of eligibility, including four key rotation players, most notably Big Ten player of the year Yaxel Lendeborg. They also could lose potential first-round NBA draft picks Aday Mara and Morez Johnson Jr.

Michigan has six incoming players in its 2026 class, rated No. 2 in 247 Sports’ composite rankings only behind Duke, after five-star guard Brandon McCoy Jr. committed during the Final Four.
