U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee over his past ties to the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, Axios reported on Tuesday. “”I look forward to appearing before the committee. I have done nothing wrong and I want to set the record straight,” Axios quoted Lutnick as saying.
The closed door interview will take place in the coming weeks, Axios said.
Lutnick has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
