There was only one change from the Detroit Lions practice report between Wednesday and Thursday. And it’s some good news on the injury front, for a change.
Linebacker Jack Campbell returned to being a full participant in Thursday’s session. Campbell missed Wednesday with an ankle injury.
The only nonparticipant remains Taylor Decker. Detroit’s starting left tackle is dealing with a shoulder issue, one that Decker himself acknowledged could keep him out of Sunday’s home opener against Chicago. Despite Decker missing a second straight practice, Lions offensive coordinator stated that the team is “totally expecting Decker to play” versus the Bears. Though he’s on the practice squad, veteran reserve Dan Skipper is also out from practices as he deals with knee tendonitis. He’s not practiced since the end of training camp over two weeks ago.
Detroit’s final injury report and game statuses for Week 2 will be released at 4 p.m. on Friday.
