How much snow will Upper Peninsula get? Predictions for winter storm

How much snow will a potentially historic and record-breaking winter storm bring to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula?

The National Weather Service is predicting 1 to 3 feet of snow in the region, with 40 inches or more of accumulation expected in Gwinn and Ishpeming.

Escanaba, Marquette, Munising, Republic and Watson could all see snow totals of 3 feet or more.

In northern Michigan, Sault Ste. Marie could see more than 2 feet, with parts of the region forecast to receive 1 and 2 feet.
