All about Travis. Taylor Swift's 'Wood' tops Michigan searches in 2025

According to Google Year in Search, Taylor Swift’s “Wood,” off her 12th studio album, was among the most searched songs in 2025 across Michigan — and that wasn’t the only Swift song fans were looking for this year.

Google released its review of the top trending searches of 2025, analyzing and compiling data taken from Jan. 1 through Nov. 25. The data for Michigan included top slang, most searched tickets and athletic jerseys, in addition to song searches cataloged by Google.

Swift’s NSFW ode to fiance Travis Kelce was the most-searched song across Michigan, topping the list across Grand Rapids, Lansing, Port Huron and Detroit. It was the third-most-searched song around Saginaw Bay and the second-most searched in the northern Lower Peninsula and eastern Upper Peninsula, according to Google.

Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” album also featured prominently in other top song searches this year, including top 5 Google searches for “Opalite,” “Elizabeth Taylor” and “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Alex Warren and Jessie Murph also received search action this year, and even Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs” came up in a lot of Marquette-area searches.

A couple of animated acts, HUNTR/X and Saja Boys, both from Netlix’s “Kpop Demon Hunters,” were among top searches as well.

The tech company’s annual search report says it captures the “moments, people, topics, events and places that captured the world’s attention this year.”

After releasing “Ordinary” in Feb. 2025, it reached No. 1 in more than 20 countries, including the U.S.’s all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart — where it held the top spot for six weeks back as of July 2025.

Who are the Saja Boys?

The Saja Boys are a five-member fictional boy band from the Netflix animation film “KPop Demon Hunters.”

The film directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans was released on Netflix in June, it follows a pop girl group that fights demons to protect South Korea.

The movie, which is the No. 1 most popular film of all time on Netflix, garnered over 325 million views globally in 91 days, reporting from USA Today shows.

Who is Drake?

Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham in Toronto, Canada, is a rapper.

His album, “So Far Gone,” dropped in February 2009 featuring the single “Best I Ever Had,” which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart, while “Successful,” a collaboration with Wayne and Trey Songz, went gold and made Rolling Stone’s “25 Best Songs of 2009” list.

Who is HUNTR/X?

HUNTR/X is a three-member fictional project girl group. They were created for the Netflix animation film KPop Demon Hunters, according to the kpop fandom wiki.

The group is composed of Rumi, Mira and Zoey, voiced respectively by Arden Cho, May Hong and Ji-young Yoo.

Who is Jessie Murph?

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Alabama is a country music singer who started on TikTok.

Her second album “Sex Hysteria,” came out this past summer. The record, according to Rolling Stone, “hops from Amy Winehouse-inspired classic R&B (‘1965,’ ‘Touch Me Like a Gangster’) to pop-rap earworms (the Top 20 hit ‘Blue Strips’) to downcast balladry that channels one of Murph’s heroes, Lana Del Rey (‘Heroin’).”
