BROOKLYN – For any high school cross country runner, there comes a time when priorities undergo a seismic shift.
No longer is it just about surviving the 3.1-mile course over hills and through valleys and sand to just cross the finish line. Eventually, those priorities change to something huge, something as grand as the MHSAA cross country state finals.
That is where many of the state’s best found themselves the morning of Saturday, Nov. 1, toeing the line at the hallowed venue known as Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.
Among those making the trip to MIS were runners from Lenawee County across Division 2, 3 and 4. Here are results from both the boys and girls state championship efforts at the Division 2 race.
