By The St. Clair County Health Department
As flu season approaches, the St. Clair County Health Department is encouraging residents to consider getting vaccinated this year. It is important to stay protected against the flu, even if time has lapsed in between vaccinations.
Prior to his role as Medical Director for the St. Clair County Health Department, Dr. Remington Nevin served many years as a Physician in the U.S. Army and reflected back on his own flu vaccination history. Nevin shared, “During my service in the Army, getting a flu shot every year was mandatory. Even after my service in the Army ended, like many veterans, I continued to get an annual flu shot most years”. Nevin continued, “I certainly missed a few, nonetheless this year, I am looking forward to receiving my flu shot, and I encourage my fellow veterans and all St. Clair County residents to consider doing the same.”
