Vietnam airlines signs deal with Boeing for 50 737-8 jets

HANOI, Feb 19 (Reuters) – Vietnam Airlines has signed an agreement with Boeing to buy 50 narrow-body 737-8 jets, it said on Thursday.

The country’s flag carrier is also in talks with the U.S. aircraft manufacturer for the additional purchases of 30 wide-body planes with a value of up to $12 billion, it said in a statement.
