Mimi Elles, Author, Countercultural Woman

Originally posted March 30th, 2021

On this episode of Biblically sound, Derek Elles interviews his wife Mimi Elles about her new book, Countercultural Woman. The inspiration of Mimi’s first book came from the Bible in Romans 12:1-2.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:1-2 (English Standard Version)

Mimi explains how culture is changing from what God has created and talks about being from Guatemala and witnessing abuse towards women. She decided to strengthen other women to defend themselves against abuse through feminist movements. Mimi then realized how far away the feminist movement is from the biblical truth.
