MHSAA announces restart dates for volleyball; girls swim and diving finals

The Michigan High School Athletic Association is ready to try again.

On Tuesday, the MHSAA announced it would restart its fall athletic season with volleyball resuming the quarterfinal round on Jan. 12.

The volleyball semifinals are expected to be held on Jan. 14-15 with the finals taking place on Jan. 16. The semifinals and finals will take place at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.

The girls swim and diving finals meanwhile will conclude Jan. 15-16 at three different locations – Division 1 being held at Hudsonville High School; Division 2 at Grand Rapids Northview High School and Division 3 at Lake Orion High School. 

The Diving Finals will take place on Jan. 15, followed by swimming on Jan. 16.

Spectators will not be allowed at the competitions. Spectators also are not being allowed at football playoff games, which resume Jan. 9.
