MDOT announces road work for five mile stretch of Lapeer County’s M-24

The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced a $1.4 million project starting next week to resurface about five miles of Lapeer County’s M-24 from Sawdust Corners Road to Barnes Road, and from Burnside Road to M-90.

Work includes mill and fill, and pavement markings. The project is slated to begin Monday, September 9, and estimated to finish up by Wednesday, September 25.

Due to the work, traffic will be restricted to one lane open under flag control.
