Four rock tribute bands to perform in upcoming McMorran season for a bundle deal
PORT HURON, Mich.— Paying tribute to multiple bands, McMorran Place is kicking off the 2019 concert season with the Turn Back Time concert series.
The Turn Back Time concert series brings together four rock tribute bands – The Beach Party Boys, 21 Gun Salute, Old Friends and Rumours. Appealing to multiple generations, the performances will transport concertgoers to relive the sounds of the 1950s to the 1980s. Concert tickets may be purchased as a packaged deal for all four concerts at $96.
“These are great shows that we’re bringing to the community at an affordable price,” said Rob Churchill, general manager of McMorran Place.
The Beach Party Boys will perform on Saturday, Oct. 12. Fans can expect to hear all of the surfin’ sounds such as “California Girls” and “Surfin’ Safari” at The Beach Boys tribute concert.
AC/DC tribute band, 21 Gun Salute, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22. The tribute band replicates AC/DC’s music actively portraying outfits, personas, and vocals of the original band members including both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson.
Old Friends a Simon and Garfunkel Tribute will perform on Friday, March 27. If you weren’t able to attend Simon and Garfunkel’s 1981 concert in Central Park, now you have the opportunity to as Nick Foresman and Jason Elsenheimer reproduce the magical performance with an eight-piece band.
Back by popular demand Fleetwood Mac tribute band, Rumours, will play on Friday, April 24. Jesika Miller, Rebecca Fishman, Ned Brower, Taylor Locke, and Nic Johns impersonate the golden years of Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987.
Interested individuals may purchase tickets at the McMorran box office located at 701 McMorran Blvd. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All concerts will begin at 7 p.m. Doors open prior to the show time at 6 p.m.
