Live United: Melinda Johnson, Executive Director, Blue Water Community Action

On this episode of Live United, Brent Gillette, Executive Director of United Way of St. Clair County speaks with the Executive Director of Blue Water Community Action, Melinda Johnson.

Melinda speaks about the variety of programs offered through Blue Water Community Action. The Head-Start Program has been around since 1964 which benefits children ages 3-4 to prepare them for kindergarten and helps prepare them to be successful. Their Housing-related programs are dedicated to making homes more energy-efficient.

Blue Water Community Action also teaches Economic Self Sufficiency, managing income, and helping to improve credit scores. Melinda also talks about their Health and Nutrition Programs and Food Distributions.
