Port Sanilac, MI (December 20th, 2023) – Sanilac County Community Foundation has awarded through their 2023 Fall Grant Round Sanilac County Historical Society $2,086.32 to be used toward parking lot lighting at Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum.

The impact of this lighting project will provide visibility and safe access for late evening / night events at the Barn Theatre’s Summer Show Season and Sanilac County Historic Village Museum’s Holiday events such as the Haunted Village and Christmas Lighted Trail.

Sanilac County Historical Society is very grateful for this grant award. We are in the process of a full electrical grid overhaul upgrade and this parking lot lighting project was on the bottom of our expense list. SCCF has allowed this project to float to the top and we will see these lights and their illuminating effects come Spring of 2024 just ahead of the Barn Theatre’s 2024 Summer Season.

The Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum is located at 228 S. Ridge St (M25) in Port Sanilac. For more information visit www.sanilaccountymuseum.org or on Facebook at “Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum”, or call the office at 810.622.9946.
