(Port Sanilac, MI – November 20, 2021) By popular demand, the Sanilac County Historical Society is creating an “I Spy” Window again for Christmas this year. The “I Spy” Window can be found at the General Store on the Museum’s grounds, inside the large picture window. Just like the “I Spy” books that many of our kids and grandkids enjoyed, guests will be challenged to find a list of Christmas items and antiques that are included in the window.
Also back for 2021, is the Holiday Ornament Contest. All elementary school-age children are invited to make a homemade ornament to decorate the Christmas tree in the “I Spy” Window.
All ornaments should be homemade and delivered to the Museum before December 4. If the office is not open, ornaments can be left inside the painted mailbox at the green side door to the Mansion/Museum. The child’s name, age, and phone number should be included with the ornaments.

The “I Spy” Christmas Window will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from December 4 – January 3. The community will be invited to vote on their favorite ornament(s) from December 4 – 21. Voters will need a dollar bill for each vote cast, and all donations will benefit the SCHS. The winners will be announced on December 22 and the three ornaments with the most votes will each be awarded a special certificate.
