Head-on crash in Oliver Twp. kills Kinde woman, injures two others

Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers with the Caro Post are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Thursday morning on Richardson Road near Gagetown Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates around 7: 40 a.m. on February 1, the driver of a westbound 2005 Toyota RAV4 lost control and crossed the centerline, striking an eastbound 2011 Ford Taurus head-on.

The driver of the RAV4, 36-year-old Rachel Nicole-Bradley Bronson from Kinde , was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver and passenger of the Taurus, a 41-year-old man and 40-year-old woman of Bay Port, were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor.

The incident remains under investigation. Troopers were assisted on-scene by the Pigeon Police Department, Huron County Sheriff’s Office, and Oliver Township Fire Department.
