The Michigan Conservative Coalition and Wayne 12th Republicans Committee call for Michiganders to rally against East Palestine, Ohio’s hazardous waste coming to Michigan..

The “Call to Action HAZARD” rally began at 1 p.m on Sunday, February 26 at 28470 Citrin Drive, Romulus, MI 48174 (near the intersection of Citrin Drive and Inkster Road)  That is the facility of Arizona owned Republic Industrial and Energy Solutions, LLC, that is processing the Ohio hazardous waste in our backyard and without notice or local involvement.

“We demand that Governor Whitmer, the EPA, and the Biden Administration take immediate action to address the issue of hazardous waste being dumped in our communities,” said Stephanie Butler, a spokesperson from the Wayne 12th Republicans Committee.  “We will not stand by as they sneak toxins into our backyard, and put our health and safety at risk.”

“Forced into action, ‘Mayor Pete’ Buttigieg (appointed as head of the U.S. Department of Transportation) was embarrassed into showing up in Ohio weeks after the derailment,” said Meshawn Maddock, co-founder of Michigan Conservative Coalition. “Now Michiganders wake up to discover that the tone deaf Democrat ‘leaders’ think Michigan should become the dumping ground for East Palestine’s hazardous waste!”

The “Call to Action HAZARD” rally will be held outdoors, rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather. Those who attend are encouraged to bring American flags.  Please use appropriate language on any and all homemade HAZARD signage, but come to be heard.  Signs supporting America or former President Trump are also encouraged.

“Imagine how Traverse City’s citizens would feel if they woke up this morning to hear that hazardous waste was being shipped to ‘Mayor Pete’s’ new home town?” said Maddock.  “Many believe Michigan was chosen as a dumping ground because our  radical Governor would put her buddies — Biden and ‘Mayor Pete’— above the safety of Michigan’s citizens. Michigan’s citizens must know what is being dumped into their water, just as the citizens of East Palestine need to know.”

The rally will also call for stronger regulations on hazardous waste dumping and increased penalties for violators. Environmental advocates and community leaders will speak out about the importance of protecting Michigan’s communities from hazardous waste and holding government leaders accountable.
