Waterfowl at Pointe Mouillee State Game Area – Rockwood

It’s Spring birding time at Pointe Mouilee and the Detroit Bird Alliance wants to show you a birding hotspot on a 4-6 mile hike. You could spot White Pelicans, Redheads, Common Goldeneyes, Buffleheads, Northern Shovelers and other waterfowl. Other possibilities are Eagles, Northern Harriers and Merlins, with a possible mammal thrown in for good measure! Meet in the Sigler Road parking lot for Pointe Mouillee State Game Area which is the farthest north access point for Pointe Mouillee. Sorry, no restrooms. $18 for non-members.
