If a trip to the Mackinac Bridge to get your steps in on Labor Day sounds like too far to drive (who wants to deal with the closed Zilwaukee Bridge), then the five-mile Trek the Trestle is just for you! The walk takes place on the Wadhams to Avoca Trail and crosses the 640 ft. Mill Creek Trestle, the longest bridge of its kind in the State of Michigan.
