Tour the Clinton-Kalamazoo Canal – Clinton Township

Put on your walking shoes for a fun activity exploring Michigan’s first internal improvement project – a proposed canal that ran from Lake St. Clair to Lake Michigan. Dating back to 1837, you will retrace part of its route from Mt. Clemens to Rochester, see remains of one of the locks, and learn the history behind it.
