The Port Austin Reef Lighthouse shines brightly at the tip of Michigan’s Thumb. It was established in 1878 and was modified to the brick structure that stands today after a devastating fire in 1899. The automated beacon and tower are still operational and have just wrapped up a full restoration. See website for Summer 2025 tour schedule.
