Headaches and Amethyst
Amethyst is a powerful healer for ills influenced by the Brow Chakra. Amethyst is a purple to lavender stone and is one of the most common crystals. Amethyst carries a high vibration that connects to the brain, neuro centers, and can take you into beta brain waves. It eases headaches and releases tension. It is highly recommended for the treatment of not only headaches, but migraines also.

Lay down in a comfortable position and use a pillow to ease tension in your neck.

Place a tumbled Amethyst crystal on your forehead as near to the spot where you feel the pain. You can also place a small single terminated Amethyst under your head at the base of your skull with the point facing toward your feet. The single terminated Amethyst works best with migraines, according to Rodenbeck’s book Crystals for Everyday Living. However, if you only have the tumbled Amethyst, that will work just fine.
Close your eyes and follow your breathing all the way in and all the way out. Relax your muscles starting at your feet and work your way up. Pay special attention to relaxing your mouth and jaw. We tend to hold a lot of tension in those places.
Leave the layout and focus your breathing for 15 to 20 minutes.
This healing technique can be coupled with medication, but the ultimate goal is to treat your headaches and migraines with only the healing power of crystals.
Next time, we will cover the cleansing and charging of your crystals. With all the layouts Rodenbeck an I have taught you we now need to show you the proper way to keep your crystals in working order.
