Apple TV+ is set to launch “Constellation,” an eight-part series that blends psychological thriller elements with a conspiracy-based narrative. This show, featuring Noomi Rapace of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” fame and Jonathan Banks from “Breaking Bad,” is expected to deliver a unique blend of suspense, action, and space exploration. With Apple TV+ already having tasted success with shows like “For All Mankind” and “Foundation,” “Constellation” is anticipated to be a different yet thrilling experience for its audience.

Mark your calendars for February 21, 2024, as “Constellation” will make its global debut with the first three episodes, making up almost half of its eight-episode season. New episodes will be released every Wednesday until March 27. While the show is not officially labeled as a limited series, the possibility of a second season hinges on the audience and critical reception, especially if the central mystery captivates viewers.

“Constellation” is the brainchild of Peter Harness, known for his work on “Wallander” and “BBC’s The War of the Worlds.” The series boasts a stellar directorial team, including Emmy Award winner Michelle MacLaren (“Breaking Bad,” “Game of Thrones”), Oscar nominee Oliver Hirschbiegel (“Downfall,” “The Experiment”), and Oscar nominee Joseph Cedar (“Footnote,” “Our Boys”). MacLaren is at the helm for the first two episodes.

The executive production team comprises David Tanner (“Uprising”), Tracey Scoffield (“Small Axe”), Caroline Benjo (“No Man’s Land”), Simon Arnal (“The Lobster”), Carole Scotta (“The Class”), and Justin Thomson (“Liaison”). Michelle MacLaren, along with Rebecca Hobbs (“Shining Girls”) and Jahan Lopes, also serves as an executive producer through MacLaren Entertainment. Series creator Peter Harness contributes as an executive producer via Haunted Barn.

With its intriguing plot, stellar cast, and accomplished production team, “Constellation” is poised to be a captivating addition to Apple TV+’s repertoire, potentially setting new benchmarks in the genre of psychological thrillers and space dramas.
