Ethan Kut

Ethan Kut is a young resident of Marysville, Michigan, whose passion for history and public service has inspired him to become actively involved in local politics throughout the Thumb region. Ethan currently works for BWHL, attends St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, and is running for Marysville City Council. Through his work and community involvement, Ethan has enjoyed meeting people throughout the region and learning more about the issues that matter most to local families, businesses, and communities. He is especially passionate about preserving the history and character of the area while working toward a strong future for Marysville. Ethan recently graduated from Marysville High School as a member of the Top 25 of his graduating class and earned numerous scholarships for his academic accomplishments. During his time at Marysville High School, Ethan was involved in several extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities. He served as captain of the Marysville Boys Swim and Dive Team, was a section leader in the Viking Regiment, and was a member of the National Honor Society. His experiences in school helped him develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills that he hopes to bring into public service. Following the death of Charlie Kirk, Ethan was also inspired to become more involved in youth political activism and created his own Teen Republican chapter in Marysville, giving local students an opportunity to become engaged in the political process. Outside of politics and work, Ethan enjoys reading, listening to his favorite musicians, and spending time with friends. He is grateful for the opportunity to work in media, where he can speak with people from across the Thumb region and discuss local, state, and national issues. Ethan believes that staying connected with the community and listening to the people who live there are important parts of effective leadership. As he continues his involvement in Marysville and the surrounding region, Ethan is excited to build on his experiences, serve his community, and play an active role in shaping the future of the place he calls home.
