ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL ORATORY CONTEST

By The Right to Life of St. Clair County

Students research, write and present a 5-7 minute prolife speech on the issue of abortion, euthanasia, infanticide or embryonic stem cell research/cloning 

Parents, Grandparents, Educators, Priest, Pastors, Youth Ministers 

Please identify high school students and encourage their involvement in this important opportunity. Students receive several benefits from participating in our oratory contest. In addition to building confidence in their public speaking abilities, students gain experience with critical thinking and constructing persuasive arguments. Most importantly, they learn how to engage others in constructive discussion about life and death issues.

First Place: $300 

Second Place: $200 

Third Place: $100 

Also the first place winner advances to the state contest, sponsored by Right to Life of Michigan

 Then the State winners compete with elite teens from across the country at the National Right to Life oratory contest in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. 

Students must contact Anne Arendt 810-434-6409, for the RTLSCC application and full contest rules. Application and written speech are due by March 18th, 2023.
