A simple way to set the tone for your day

Ever wonder what you could do each day to improve the quality of your life? You’ve come to the right place!

In order to improve the quality of your LIFE, you must improve the quality of EACH DAY. Below you will find a very simple tip that requires minimal effort for you to implement in your daily life to do just that! Trust me, you’ve got this!

I LOVE looking up definitions for a deeper understanding of things so here we go with the definition to ‘affirmation’…

1. the action or process of affirming something or being affirmed

2. emotional support or encouragement: “the lack of one or both parents’ affirmation leaves some children emotionally crippled”

Okay, so to break it down – affirmations are affirming something and affirming means to state as a fact, that is why affirmations are so powerful. You are stating a fact and putting that fact out into the universe which brings it right back to you. Looking at the second definition, it also means ’emotional support’ and ‘encouragement’. In this way not only are you using affirmations to set the tone for your day, but you are also using it for emotional support, we all need emotional support these days and it’s so cool we can do that for ourselves with only a few simple words each day.

As you wake up each morning, set an intention for the day. The more you use affirmations, the more programmed the subconscious mind will be. We want to make sure we are programming our minds with the best possible software we possibly can. Affirmations will do just that, again, they are incredibly powerful.

So how do you effectively use affirmations? Super easy and you have options for whatever works best for you. Here are 3 ways to use affirmations…

1.) Write in a journal your affirmation a total of 5 times every morning.
2.) Say out loud your affirmation a total of 5 times before you get out of bed.
3.) Close your eyes and repeat in your mind the affirmation a total of 5 times as soon as you wake up.

One suggestion I would make is to try all three methods on three different days and see how you react to each. One of these will typically be more effective for you personally.

Visualizing my affirmation with my eyes closed seems to work best for me, although I also journal too. Keep in mind you can do all 3 ways if you’d like to take it a step further.

Sample affirmations:

  • I am a miracle magnet
  • I am becoming the best version of myself
  • Everything always works out for me
  • I am full of love and positive energy
  • I am grateful for my life
  • I am confident and proud of myself
  • Every day I laugh and have fun

If there is something that you would like to work on in your life, create your own affirmation to combat it and see how well it works in your life.

Affirmations will not only set the tone for your day, they will bring you emotional support and simply put, you will just feel better when you intentionally shift your focus towards positive self-talk.

One more thing, if it’s the middle of the day and you’re reading this? I got some good news for you! You didn’t miss your opportunity to use affirmations today. You can take one minute out of your day to do it right now & watch its power take place throughout the rest of your day.
