Texas A&M commit Chase Richardson impresses with TJ Ford 3SSB

Like baseball, several elite basketball prospects now play nearly year‑round with travel programs, and one future Texas A&M point guard continues to shine on that circuit. Over the weekend, 2027 Aggie commit Chase Richardson impressed once again while running with TJ Ford 3SSB, showcasing the same explosiveness and competitive edge that made him a priority for Bucky McMillan’s staff.

Richardson has built a reputation on athleticism, pace, and relentless motor. All hallmarks of the Bucky Ball system he’ll step into in College Station. He scores at all three levels, sees the floor exceptionally well, and plays with a confidence that coaches can’t teach. That swagger, paired with his ability to control tempo, makes him one of the most intriguing young guards in the country.

A 6‑foot‑1 four‑star point guard from Friendswood (TX), Richardson committed to Texas A&M over Purdue, Nebraska, and Virginia. He’s ranked the No. 4 player in Texas and a Top‑75 prospect nationally, giving McMillan his first pledge of the 2027 class and an early cornerstone for the program’s future backcourt.

Below you can see Richardson in action. His burst, vision, and creativity with the ball are all on display and exactly what he’ll bring to the court when he arrives in Aggieland.
