Head to The Sailhouse in Tarrytown on Thursday, June 11, where I’ll be guest bartending as part of the Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley’s annual Summer of Wishes campaign.
The new event, aptly named “Sips & Tips for Wishes” pits guest bartenders across three rounds, crafting cocktails and collecting tips to raise funds that help grant life-changing wishes for local children with critical illnesses.
I’m going beer to wine glass against content creator Itzel Aguilera of Westchester Blogger in the 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. time slot.
Other guest bartenders include members of the Yonkers fire department, Darlene Rodriguez of WNBC’s Today in New York, Lauren Scala of New York Live, Daniel Alvarez and Pasquale Palumbo of Linking the Hudson Valley, Richard Klein and Sophie Bird of The Breakfast Club, Sailhouse owner Colleen Cingel, content creators Jessie Mignone of What’s in Westchester and AJ Chiarella of The 914 Collective and the notorious Headless Horseman.
Can’t be there in person? No worries. You can donate virtually at hudson.wish.org/summer.From now through August, Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley plans to grant 50 wishes, each costing an average of $10,000. Funds raised throughout the summer — including every tip collected during this event — will help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, bringing hope, strength, and joy when it’s needed most.
Admission is free and promises to be family-friendly with wish alumni appearances, photo opportunities, interactive games, cocktails, mocktails, and food.
