Iowa football lands 2027 DB Jonathan Harris

For the second time in as many days, Iowa football has added to its 2027 recruiting class.

The Hawkeyes bolstered its 2027 class with a pledge from three-star safety Jonathan Harris out of Brother Rice High School. The Oak Lawn, Ill., product picked up an offer from Iowa on Sunday and wasted little time committing to the Hawkeyes.

A 6-foot-2, 170-pound safety, Harris is ranked as a three-star commit, as the nation’s 109th safety and as the No. 39 player in Illinois, per 247Sports.

Harris joins three-star safety Jake Thies as defensive backs in Iowa’s 2027 class.

In addition to Iowa, Harris held offers from Missouri State, Sacramento State, Butler, Western Illinois, and Chicago State.
