Cmdr. Trenner Marchetti said the car was reported stolen out of Santa Barbara, and a police camera alerted officers it was in the area. The arrest was made at Main Street and Ventura Avenue, on the city’s west side, he said.

Police said they also found the man with methamphetamine and a so-called “ghost gun,” which does not have a serial number.

The man was arrested and booked into Ventura County jail on suspicion of multiple felonies, including being a felon in possession of a gun and unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle, and misdemeanor possession of a drug.

He is being held on $70,000 bail and is set to appear in Ventura County Superior Court May 27, according to jail records.
