East Peoria is looking for a new head girls basketball coach.
The Tazewell County school posted Wednesday on social media they have an opening to replace Adam Binger. He spent four seasons with the Raiders, collecting an overall record of 28-93 and 3-53 in Mid-Illini Conference play.
During Binger’s tenure, he helped East Peoria end a 52-game losing streak in Mid-Illini play during the 2024-2025 season. EP went 3-27, getting victories over Peoria High, Rantoul and Streator, but finished 0-14 in league play during the 2025-26 campaign.
The new coach will look to give East Peoria its first winning season since a school-record setting 19-9 finish in 2014. East Peoria last won a Class 3A regional 15 years ago under then-coach Pete McGinnes.
