The FSU Seminoles are highly interested in 2027 three-star tight end Carter Blackwell. They showed that by extending an offer to him earlier this week. As of Saturday morning, Florida State has taken the next step in recruiting the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder.
The Seminoles have now locked in an official visit with him. He will be back on campus on June 5, according to Chris Nee of Noles247. This will mark Blackwell’s second appearance in Tallahassee, and it comes a week before his official visit to North Carolina.
Blackwell has seen his recruitment explode as 18 of his 21 offers have come in 2026. He’s coming off a pretty solid junior campaign with 24 receptions for 438 yards and five touchdowns. Blackwell is also a versatile player as he plays wide receiver, fullback, and long snapper as well.
The 247Sports composite rankings have Blackwell as the No. 709 overall recruit and the No. 39 tight end in the country. Also, he’s the No. 84 prospect in the state of Georgia.
