One of the nation's top players among Purdue football recruiting visitors vs Illinois

WEST LAFAYETTE − Forty-five expected recruiting visitors will be at Ross-Ade Stadium for Purdue football’s noon kickoff against Illinois on Saturday.

Amongst them are eight members of the Boilermakers’ 2026 class who’ve already verbally committed.

That group includes defensive back Raderrion “D.D.” Daniels, defensive ends Max Carmicle and Aiden Solecki, offensive linemen Rico Schreiber, Brock Brownfield, and Terrell Berryhill Jr., receiver Kymistrii Young, and running back Izaiah Wright.

Among the high-profile visitors is Myson Johnson-Cook, a top 50 recruit in 247Sports’ 2027 rankings. The East St. Louis, Illinois, product, who’ll be visiting along with high school teammates Berryhill and 2027 safety Jabarri Lofton, has more than 40 offers, including several marquee programs. Linebacker Judah Blair is a top 100 recruit in the 2028 class, and 2027 defensive lineman Reinaldo Perez is among the nation’s best at his position group and has 17 Power 4 offers, including 12 from Big Ten or SEC programs.

Purdue plans to have three quarterbacks on campus, including Center Grove 2028 quarterback Oscar Sloan, for a return visit. Sloan previously visited the Boilermakers on Aug. 30 for their season opener against Ball State and also saw Purdue as a visitor at Notre Dame on Sept. 20. Sloan has also visited Indiana and Illinois during the 2025 season.

Sloan will be one of three 2028 QBs visiting, along with Drew Sheridan from Dearborn, Michigan, and Florida’s Brady Quinn, who has double-digit Power 4 offers.
