The last winning Mega Millions ticket, from Virginia, matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball in the Friday, June 27, drawing for a $348 million prize, with a cash option of $155.5 million.
The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday, July 1, then reset to $50 million. It was only the second jackpot reset since the game’s new rules took effect in April. The jackpot has since rolled over 20 times and now sits at $358 million for the drawing on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The cash option sits at $164.5 million, according to Mega Millions online.
