Walkers and bicyclists who enjoy traversing the Palm Beach Lake Trail will need to adjust their routines for the next two weeks.
The section of the trail under the Flagler Bridge at Royal Poinciana Way will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday, July 7, as a town contractor installs new hand rails and reinforces the walking path, the town said in an alert posted to its website.
The town expects both lanes to be reopened by Monday, July 21. Trail users are asked to be cautious when riding or walking through this section of the path.
Town officials note that electric bikes and other motorized vehicles are not permitted on the trail, which is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. For questions about this project, contact project engineer coordinator Lee Hudson by phone at 561-838-5440 or by email at lhudson@townofpalmbeach.com.
