We’re on to the second round of the 2025 Memorial Tournament. Will Scottie Scheffler win this event, too?
The defending champ at Jack Nicklaus’ tournament, who’s also coming off winning the PGA Championship, shot 2 under par in the first round. That was good for a tie for seventh, and he enters today five strokes behind leader Ben Griffin. Collin Morikawa, Max Homa and Keegan Bradley also had strong opening rounds.
There will be a cut after today’s round. Ludvig Åberg started the day just above the projected cut line, while Justin Rose and Justin Thomas are among the big-name golfers who need to turn things around to make the weekend.
