FORT WALTON BEACH — Eglin Federal Credit Union has announced the grand opening of its new, state-of-the-art operations center.
The 100,000-square-foot facility represents a milestone in the credit union’s growth and expansion efforts.
According to a news release from the credit union, the opening was celebrated with a special event attended by board members, volunteers, employees and key partners who contributed to the project’s success.
Located in Fort Walton Beach, the four-story operations center is designed to accommodate up to 400 employees and features a wide array of modern and sustainable amenities, including energy-efficient windows, geothermal wells and electric vehicle charging stations. The facility also includes a connected parking garage and flexible interior workspaces tailored for employee comfort, collaboration and productivity.
“This Operations Center is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence,” EFCU President/CEO Cathie Staton said in the release. “We believe that a well-designed space can inspire creativity and productivity, and we are thrilled to offer our employees a dynamic and inviting atmosphere that reflects our corporate values.”
The operations center houses a wide range of departments and services, including a high-tech training center, an expanded call center with chat and text support capabilities, a growing video teller team, and departments such as loan services, indirect lending, mortgage services, collections, information technology and facilities management. The building is also equipped to function as a disaster recovery site if needed.
The facility is part of a strategic plan to support its expanding field of membership, which now includes Walton, Santa Rosa, and Escambia counties in Florida and Alabama. The expansion also addresses growing demand for digital services and increased back-office support.
