Binghamton University will offer parking at its on-campus parking garage for free during its 2025 commencement ceremonies.
Commencement will bring over 25,000 guests and 4,900 graduates to campus over the course of the week. New York State University Police University Police and Parking Services will be conducting traffic control on campus throughout the ceremonies.
According to a press release, most of the department will be on hand throughout all nine ceremonies to direct vehicles and pedestrians as well as guide traffic to and from Vestal Parkway when entering or exiting campus.
From May 15-17, doors will open 45 minutes ahead of each ceremony, which will last around two hours. There will be no commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 18.

The first two ceremonies will be held at the Anderson Center Osterhout Theater, while the rest will be held at the Binghamton University Events Center. Here’s what you need to know about the ceremony schedule, parking and traffic.

Binghamton University commencement: Parking and venue information
Guests heading to campus for commencement should plan to arrive one hour before commencement to encounter the least traffic. According to the Binghamton University commencement page, guests should not arrive more than an hour ahead of commencement, as parking will not be available.
Doors will open 45 minutes ahead of planned start times, and commencement ceremonies will take up to two hours. In order to access commencement, ensure you have tickets, either on a phone or printed out.
Due to large numbers of visitors entering and leaving campus, the flow of traffic may take a while, and Binghamton University urges visitors to be patient and follow directions given by officers.
Balloons, noise-making devices, flags, signs and banners will not be allowed inside the venue. No pets, outside of trained service dogs will be allowed into the venue.
