Port Huron Parks and Recreation has brought back their themed walks. The noncompetitive walking program is open to all ages. By participating in five of the scheduled dates, you will earn a Walk Michigan T-shirt courtesy of McLaren Hospital and QCS-Quality Computer Solutions. The participants who walk one extra mile will also receive a raffle ticket to be entered in a drawing for a prize. The walks take place every Tuesday at 6:00 pm and are free for everyone, so grab your sneakers and a friend and have fun getting some exercise this summer.
The dates and locations for the Walk Michigan events are as follows:
Tues, June 21 Beach Party at Lakeside Beach
Tues, June 28 Get Your Groove On at the Fort Gratiot Trail
Tues, July 5 Walk for Warriors at Flag Plaza
Tues, July 12 Pet PAWlooza at Pine Grove Park
Tues, July 19 Boat Walk River at Street Marina
Tues, July 26 Hawaiian Luau at Kiefer Park
Tues, Aug. 2 Scavenger Hunt at River Walk
Tues, Aug. 9 Pool Party at Sanborn Pool
*If inclement weather should occur, walking will take place at the McMorran Place Main Arena.
