SILVER LININGS, can be found in any situation
Even those that cause us fears and concerns
Some fears are real
Others are only the imagination Gone Wild
fear is a primal human survival mechanism
we’ve all heard of fight or flight
How do you run from the fears that come from within?
Hard to run from them
They are still with you.
I decided to fight my fear
By, seeking the silver lining
Much like there is beauty in every day
Every Crisis or inconvenience
Holds a silver lining
Finding them can be a challenge at times
But they do exist
We must learn to seek the beauty and silver lining in every day and situation
Always holding onto hope
An update on John Yurgens:
Every year my doctor sends me for a follow-up CT scan, just to make sure everything still okay. In the previous three years everything’s been fine and the only recommendation was a CT scan in 12 months. Always great to hear.
That changed this year, my neurosurgeon wanted to see me in the office. Of course they didn’t say, “we want to see you tomorrow.” In fact they scheduled the appointment for two weeks later, which I thought was a good sign.
The other question I had to ask myself to prevent my meltdown, “why am I having these scans every year?” My thought, “if something does develop they can identify it early and address it.” With this in mind, and trying to maintain my positive attitude, I was led me to write this latest poem listed above, “Silver Linings.” I hope you enjoyed it.
Blue Water Healthy Living is so glad to hear of the hope in your voice, John as you await this latest round of good news!
All the best to you, our dear friend and funny guy, John Y.
