The Poet’s Corner – “No Goals”

By Guest Author: John Yurgens

No goals

Post stroke survival/recovery without goals

Leads to wandering about without direction or purpose

Simply drifting;

Like a song without a singer,

A soul without a mate

A ship without a Rudder,

a car with no steering

Day in and day out

Aimlessly surviving?

No goal to strive toward

No reason to get up daily and push on.

God is great, She will help us along our journey

But that journey and assistance will be of no use

If we fail to set goals, hourly, daily, weekly, etc.

With those goals, Hard work and determination,

Will Come many mini victories

Providing us the confidence and courage to persevere
