The Poet’s Corner – “Happiness”

By guest author – John Yurgens

Happiness

Happiness is a personal emotion uniquely defined by each of us.

Our Happiness is in our control and our attitude plays a major role.

In happiness you can find true wisdom.

We all find happiness in our own way.   Some seek happiness in people

Still others find happiness deep within simply living, loving and embracing life or helping others.

Happiness is:   sharing written words, a warm blanket,

A Gentle Touch of a hand, Reassuring words from a friend in a time of need

The unconditional love of a child. The laughter of children

Happiness is sharing time with good friends who make you laugh and feel loved

Being treated like a human being that other people care about.

Happiness is it warm sweatshirt with a lovely message.

While shopping, remembering to look at the grocery list, if you remembered to take it.

Recognizing minor improvements, even three years after a stroke.

Surviving to see two new grandsons added to the clan.

Happiness is a warm smile and a sweet, “ how are you today?”

Sharing my story with others and providing them hope and encouragement

How do you define happiness?
