Rooted in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Masters of Soul production performs across the country playing in community theaters, concert halls, and performing arts venues. Masters of Soul also provides educational shows informing students of Motown’s historical significance and influence on American culture. Established in Detroit, Motown Record Corporation was more than just a record company. A new genre of soul music emerged helping pave a trail for acceptance and racial integration. Motown, a merge of words of motor and town, sprouted roots in the Motor City’s history and across the nation in the ‘60s.

Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. performance of “Masters of Soul: Motown Tribute” may be purchased at the McMorran box office located on 701 McMorran Blvd. or online. The box office is open Monday thru Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The starting rate for tickets is $19.
