What Miracle Are You Looking For This Christmas?

By Contributing Writer, Michael Lee Mills

One of the Christmas traditions in our home is to set the table for guests and to set aside in our preparations a parade of Christmas Movie times and fill our home with Christmas music.  Too these ends there seems no limits on our favorites, but a festive, joyous time of Celebration of Jesus’ story to begin anew!

Most of the music is praises of the Christ Child born today!

Most of the movies in one manner or another tell of modern miracles that we willingly believe as the magic of Christmas.

The tragedy that we call life played out in its glory.

Did you ever really figure out why so much “Good Will, kindness,

Miraculous activity takes place in our celebrating?  Why it feels so good to worship Jesus around His birth.

It really can happen all year if we were so obedient as a people in

our praise and worship of our God and His “Only begotten Son…”

Even the non-practicing, unbelieving souls who otherwise wander aimlessly through life, focus on the Joy of the season!  Accepting the kindnesses and generosity of the “season.”

The miracles are to be expected when all of these factors fulfill the commandments of God’s Law and Jesus’ Birth, Life, death and Resurrection!

Did you ever ask why so many miracles happen at Christmas?

A Holy God wants your attention, our attention in compliance to the First Commandment…”Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul, and your neighbor as yourself.”

Isn’t that what I just described happening everywhere around the world?  Clearing the pathways of communication between His people and Himself in the power of the Name above all Names, JESUS, creating a clear channel to God’s ears and all of Heaven to hear!

“He became the Son of Man that we might become the sons of God. Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, child of a peasant woman. He had neither wealth nor influence, neither training nor education yet in infancy He startled a king; in boyhood He puzzled the doctors. In manhood he walked upon the billows and hushed the sea to sleep. He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charge for His services. He never wrote a book, yet all the libraries of the world could not hold the books that could be written about him. He never wrote a song, yet He has furnished the theme of more songs than all songwriters combined. He never founded a college, yet all the colleges together cannot boast of as many students as He.

“…all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that were ever built, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man as powerfully as has this one solitary life.”

“If you seek him, he will be found by you” (1 Chron. 28:9).

So as we close in on Christmas Day the crescendo of praise and acknowledgement of all that is good and beautiful is heard in Heaven…but most important is in telling the story of the reason about Jesus being born, and wishing Merry CHRISTmas or even expressing objection to Christmas is on every person lips!

This renders the Devil and all of his demons into helpless retreat when God is Glorified, magnified and testified about.

Here is my Christmas Miracle Prayer in 2017!   The every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.  And that Christmas can live in us every day.  What a wonderful world it will be!

It is about how we live, not how we die!

If you have never asked Jesus into your life and given Him control Christmas is a great time to thank Him for the life you have been given and to begin the life you were intended to live!  He is listening!

Expect The Christmas Miracle.
