Looking for local athletic schedules? Look no further!

By: Karrie Beck

I think it’s the fresh, crisp air surrounded by the sound of the marching band bellowing in the background that brings me back to Friday night football games. All the while, your favorite team storms the field and the crowd chants, hoots, and hollers. Sound appealing? Saturdays are set aside for college games and Sundays for NFL, but Thursday and Friday nights are all about the local flare. Okay, so there’s an NFL game on Thursday night too, but it’s a later game so you should be able to manage both. Maybe for you it’s the soccer field? Volleyball match perhaps? Either way, the fall sports season is fast approaching. Whether you fancy fall ball, cross country, or favor the band, there’s sure to be an event to suit you.

Plan ahead! To the grandmas, grab your bleacher seat cushions and pompoms. Moms, we know you’re itching to throw on your bedazzled “football mom” school sweatshirts. Don’t miss your chance to schedule an afternoon or evening to watch a local athlete or team in action. It’s a great time of year to support our area kids, booster clubs, and schools.
