It’s finally starting to warm up and with spring just around the corner that means it’s time for Dairy Queen’s annual Free Cone Day.
On Tuesday, March 15th Dairy Queen is inviting customers to start spring early by partaking in its Free Cone Day, a day celebrating the ice cream shop’s partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
“We want everyone to celebrate our official kick-off of spring by enjoying a signature DQ® cone on us,” said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ.)
Both Port Huron Dairy Queen locations will be serving up free small vanilla soft-serve cones all day long, the offer is one per customer and you must be present to receive a cone.
“Last year’s success of Free Cone Day surpassed all expectations and we have our fans to thank for that,” added Westrum. “Together we raised $140,000 in one day for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and we averaged serving more than 1,330 cones per store. We are looking to surpass those numbers this year. We can’t wait.”
Aside from warming the hearts of their customers, our local Dairy Queen stores will also be accepting donations for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, so that customers can donate some of the money that they would have spent on ice cream to helping sick and injured kids that need it most.
I’ll see you all at DQ on Tuesday!
