By Terry Pettee
November of each year two dates are set aside as memorable. These two dates are inseparably linked, though rarely acknowledged as such. Those two dates are November 11 and the fourth Thursday of November. Most readers realize these two dates as Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day in America.
I purposely refrain from referring to these two dates as Holidays as is the common calendar designation for them. In my mind they are Memorial Days. Those days were set aside to aside to thank God for the blessing of living in a free nation along while remembering those who made and make freedom a reality.
During the month of November 2018, Blue Water Healthy Living honored patriots and the men and women of the American armed forces who have and continue to sacrificially service to preserve the freedom we all enjoy.
You, Reader, are encouraged to help us continue to honor our patriots by submitting for posting, your thoughts, your accounts, your memories and your heartfelt appreciation for the freedom we cherish.
